You’ve done it. You’ve gotten a coach to contact you and wants to talk to you on the phone or in person. Now what do you do? You might be nervous or unsure of what type of questions to ask. Here are a “few” questions to help you better prepare to have that discussion with the coaches.

Admissions: When is the deadline for admission?
Financial Aid: Will my financial aid offer cover my expenses? Can we review the scholarship offer and what it does and doesn’t cover? Can I get it in writing?
Academic Advising: What classes should I take my first semester? When do I meet with my advisor?
Career Services: What steps can I take to strengthen my resume?
Health Clinic: What types of health services do you offer if I get sick?
Student Life: Are there a student organization for my major?
Parking and Transportation: Am I allowed to have a car on campus as a freshman?
Library: When is the library open?
NIL: What type of programs do you have in place to help with Name, Image and Likeness? When can I get an overview or start discussions with the NIL collective? Do you have a sample NIL Collective agreement you could share?
Housing Office: How will my roommate be chosen?
Coaching Staff: Development plan for me as an athlete? Can we review the current depth chart and your plans for me and potential needs filled by transfer students?
Clearly these are just a “few” examples of the types of questions to be asking, but they give you insights into the line of thinking each recruit and family member should be having.
