Since the “one-time” transfer exception was implemented a few years ago, we have seen a massive amount of players “enter the transfer portal”, in many years more than several thousand. This however means that student-athletes enter in a bit of “no-man’s land” try to either change the setting they are playing or not playing in, get back closer to home, or any number of other reasons for their move. Either way, transferring isn’t just hitting an “easy button”! It can be difficult, dynamic, and full of surprises (some good #NIL, some bad #NoRosterSpot).
